Employment in Australia for Trades People

Due to the continued economic growth taking place in Australia, the Australian Government are making a concerted effort to attract Tradespeople to relocate to Australia, where their respective Trade Qualifications are the same or similar, to fulfil the shortage of skills currently being experienced in all States and Territories.

As certain trades are in higher demand than others, there is a large section for tradespersons on the Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL). This is a list of all occupations that are in urgent demand at this time in Australia and if your trade description appears on this list you will be entitled to additional points allocation AND your application for Immigration will be given priority.

A list of trades can be found below and, if you find that your trade is marked here as being on the MODL list, we recommend that you apply as soon as possible, as this list is subject to change several times a year without notice according to market requirements.
